The Details
Realistic game play
Players can hear the whiz of deadly shot and shell fly by their bodies or hit their comrades or themselves as they scream in pain or die from their wounds (respawn back in). Limbs will fly and blood will be spilt. Rifle reloading animations, counter the sway and weight of the rifle as you aim. Fend off or make bloody bayonet charges.
Ballistics
Rifle flip-up sights for making shots over greater distances requiring mastery of the slower bullet dynamics and limitations of the era. Likewise for artillery shells. Players receive positive benefits for following orders and maintaining their place in tactical formations (steadier aim, less suppression, quicker energy recovery from sprinting etc).
Maps
Each battlefield map and its terrain has been carefully researched and recreated in close to a 1:1 scale. Maps contain period reconstructions of the buildings, farms, forests, roads, rocks, that existed, many of which are still present today.

YouTube
There are many WoR videos on YouTube, but please be aware of what you are watching i.e. private organized verses public games (there is a noticeable difference in play and behavior where events demand decorum).

The Stonewall Brigade is a dedicated regiment in the War of Rights game, representing an authentic living history association focused in Virginia.
